OK, here we go, some real vids from my helmet cam as test. I was on my very best behavior as you can see. Quality is aok, and shaking is minimal. Only the sound is an issue. By little Brother John showed me his mobile mods for on the mountain bike some time ago, and I will try the same to get rid of the wind noise.
Someone came up with the idea of putting it backwards, so I can film my companion rider from the front...that should work.
The bike was finished in about an hour, got the cruise control and the protectors on front fork and drive shaft, so all is ready. Also scored some nice offroad gloves, with plenty of ventilation. I am worried I am going to fry out there. The jackets I saw in the shop were great, but the nicest one was 600 Euros....yes, that is not a typo. Several of them are mesh, but only the BMW and RUKKA ones were really sturdy. The rest would not survive. On to the budget committee.
But perhaps Spain is a better place for these kind of jackets. Too much wind will also dehydrate me in no time, so need to find a balance there.
I am getting really excited now. Can't figure out what to do next... ok, finish my first aid kit. My bum is going to need it.

Looking good - only 8 more sleeps
ReplyDeleteGet the oil 'leak' sorted?
Yes, "oil leak" seems to be spillage from the oil change..... BTW, got some Roo gloves! Apparently Roo leather is very good.
