Change is not as fast as it appears. Sfax, here we come.

Mahdia startup was bad and slow. But once I got going, I started to feel better.
From Mahdia to El Jem was a short ride. The first bit was along the coast through the village:

The amphitheatre was impressive as usual.. I think Andre liked it also.
Drove on to Sfax, and the road looked very familiar here.
The turkey sales executives were on the same stretch, the butcher shops and mosaic salesmen, all in the right  order.
Amazing after 12 years.
But also many new buildings, shops, workshops,  and of a high standard in some areas. We did not take the new road and it was a fun drive.
I decided to turn the helmet cam to the back and take some pics so people can all see my drying laundry. And the smooth overtaking of course with Andre in the background.
Found the base easily, but I had to ask, I stopped a bit to early on Route de Gabes. Lots of construction going on! Very busy but they gave us the vip tour. Lot's of people looking funny at us, who are these geezers on the motorbikes????
A few of the old hands were still around and I received a very warm welcome. It lifted my spirits quite a bit and headed off to the good old Sfax Novotel, where I saw all the same faces....Afifa kindly personally dropped off a lovely box of typical Sfax sweets. It was huge, I don't think she realized the space restrictions on the bike... we certainly made some hotel staff happy the next day. Sorry Afifa, and many thanks of course.
Checked out the helmet cam stuff, and of course, it is upside down...Forgive me!

  1. Upside down video? - we can fix that in post-production. Ship it to me and I'll work on it.
    Hope your health picks up.
